Spelling Words For the Year

Grade 2

These lists are suggestions.  Many times I will use words from the children's Writing Workshop.

But, I found this useful, since I post the spelling  words for the kids online, usually over the weekend.  If I am sick on a Monday, I still can get the words up for them.  Sometimes the kids even start their homework over the weekend.  Great for subs!

Pick and choose the words as a holiday comes or as you do suffixes or prefixes.
