fledge: To grow feathers for flying.

incubate: To sit on eggs to make them warm enough to hatch.

migrate: To move from one region to another, especially at a particular time of year.

muffle: To stop or soften a sound.

pellet: A small ball of food that can't be digested and is spit up.

perch: The place where a bird sits.

pierce: To go into or through.

prey: Animals that other animals eat.

talons: claws
